Introduce yourself:
My name Owen. I am a registered nurse working for the Private Clinic of Harley Street as a Recovery Practitioner based in Fitzroy Square
Tell us about your background:
I completed my Nursing Degree in the Philippines back in 1994 and moved here in the UK in 2002. I have been working for the NHS and have specialised in Renal and Respiratory Medicine before moving to work for The Private Clinic.
How long have your worked for The Private Clinic?
I have been working here for over 4 years.
What does your role entail?
My role as a Recovery Practitioner is not only focused on recovering the patients post anaesthetic. As Recovery Practitioners, it is also our job to do patient admissions and discharge. We ensure that our patients receive the best possible care that they can have whilst they are under our care. We are responsible in giving post operative instructions and to make sure that these are understood by the patient. Aside from this role, I am also part of the team who provide out of hour patient support via telephone
What do you enjoy about working for The Private Clinic?
I have been with the Private Clinic of Harley street for over 4 years now and honestly I enjoy working for the company. We have a small team in Fitzroy Square and I can say that we have a very good working relations with each other which makes the job a lot easier.
