Lydia had blue eye veins that she had disliked for many years, While they were nothing serious, their visual appearance was very prominent and she found herself struggling to conceal them.
“I’ve had blue eye veins for well over 10 years. They are something that has bothered me for so many years. They are the type of prominent veins that you can’t really cover with makeup.”

Blue Eye Vein Treatment
On the day of treatment, Lydia was nervous but Nurse Marie soon made her feel relaxed and comfortable with her renowned bedside manner. Under and Around the Eye vein treatment involves using a laser device called Cutera CoolGlide. Pulses of light energy are carefully directed at the veins around the eyes. This causes the blood within the veins to coagulate and leads to the destruction of the blood vessels. The body absorbs the blood vessel and blood flow is redirected to deeper veins in the face.
“The treatment was not as painful as I thought it might be. It is a quick sting, like a flick of an elastic band as the laser is used. When the laser gets a bit too much, Nurse Marie uses a cooling machine piece to soothe the area. The treatment does not take that long. I could see the veins disappearing before my eyes.”
Blue Eye Vein Treatment Recovery
Lydia experienced redness in the treatment area for a few hours after treatment but was otherwise free to return to her usual activities. Increased sun protection was advised to protect her skin for at least 4-6 weeks.
Following her treatment, she returned to see Marie for a follow-up appointment. A quick top-up treatment was recommended to clear the area and ensure that all the blue veins had gone.

Lydia is overjoyed with the results and wishes she hadn’t waited so long to get them treated.
