FUE Hair Transplant – Ash

Ash had started to feel self-conscious about his hairline and started to research hair transplant procedures. After a chat with a friend, he was recommended to look at The Private Clinic and went on to book a consultation at our London Harley Street clinic.

Hair Transplant Consultation

During the consultation, our expert hair transplant surgeon assessed Ash’s hair loss which fortunately was still in the early stages around a Norwood Scale 2 or 3.

Ash was on medication to maintain his hair loss but he simply wanted to try and restore areas where he felt thinning had already occurred.

They agreed that Ash had a good donor area and agreed a hair transplant to target the frontal area and hairline would be best.

Ash left the consultation feeling reassured and relieved that there was something that could be done. He shortly booked a date for his hair transplant procedure.

Day of the procedure

On the day of the procedure, Ash was feeling nervous but also excited.

An FUE Hair Transplant procedure has two stages, extraction and implantation. Whilst there may be some discomfort at the start when the local anaesthetic is injected into the area, patients are then not able to feel any pain and can comfortably relax whilst the procedure is carried out.

Post-Op Aftercare

Once Ash’s procedure was complete, he was able to travel back home with his aftercare supply kit and advice from the surgeon which included a recovery schedule, saline spray, padding, travel pillow, comb, and post-op medication.

Hair Transplant Recovery

In the weeks following his procedure, Ash was feeling confident and happy with the recovery from his hair transplant procedure. Ash has a partly shaven hair transplant which meant he was able to keep the length of the majority of his hair. This allowed him to get back to normal quickly without needing to wait for his hair to grow back to its normal length.

11 Months After Hair Transplant

Nearly a year on from his Hair Transplant procedure, Ash speaks about how having the Hair Transplant procedure has positively changed his life. He feels less self-conscious and aware of his hair and is able to live his life freely without worrying if his hairline is on show. It has provided him with a lot more confidence to live his life to the fullest.
