More men than ever are having cosmetic surgery. The number of men choosing it has risen by 16% in the past year, according to BAAPs. There has also been a rise in non-invasive procedures (such as Botox) in the UK.
These non-invasive treatments appeal to men because they are quicker than surgery. It is often the pressure of keeping up in a competitive workplace that leads them to have treatment.
Nose Jobs
Rhinoplasty (or nose job) is the most popular cosmetic surgery for men in the UK. It appeals to men because it’s a quick fix.
Cost: £2,000-£5,000
Botox
The number of men having Botox has trebled over the past few years according to Harley Street practices in London, such as The Private Clinic of Harley Street. On average, most patients have three areas of Botox done in one session, and patients usually come back three or four times a year for upkeep. Men mostly have it done to look good at work – it can make the difference between being noticed and even promoted.

Eyelid Surgery
This is the second most popular procedure for men in the UK. Excess and fat are removed surgically from the upper eyelid areas and skin, fat and/or muscle can be removed from the lower eyelid to reduce puffiness.

Moob Reduction
The number of gynaecomastia procedures has risen by 24% since last year, according to BAAPs. Excess fat is removed from the man’s chest, after which they are required to wear a chest support for up to four weeks.

Laser Hair Removal
The most popular treatment area for men is generally their back and chest. Patients tend to need six to eight sessions.

Love Handle Liposuction
Fat reduction is huge among men. There has been a 28% increase in the number of men in the UK having liposuction.

Hair Transplants
The number of hair transplants is increasing. Dr Raghu Reddy of The Private Clinic of Harley Street says it has seen an increase of 40% in the number of patients seeking the procedure, with the most common motivation being to look good at work.
