Ameela

Within the domain of injectable skin boosters, there is a new addition known as Ameela (formerly called Nucleadyn). This cutting-edge injectable biostimulator treatment is gaining well-deserved attention.

The aim of Ameela is to improve skin structure by boosting collagen, elastin and hydration levels. At The Private Clinic, we are enthusiastic about Ameela and its encouraging outcomes, demonstrating a reduction of up to 22.5% in wrinkles after only three sessions.

What is Ameela and polynucleotides?

Utilising cutting-edge technology, Ameela is composed of filtered and purified polyneuclotide molecules. These polynucleotides are abbreviated segments of DNA naturally present in the body. These molecular chains possess the capability to initiate regenerative transformations at the cellular level and are commonly employed in regenerative medicine. By prompting the body to engage in repairing itself, polynucleotides make the body an integral part of the treatment process. A result of Ameela is deep skin rejuvenation.

Ameela treatment is available at our clinic in London Harley Street

At The Private Clinic, all of our injectable treatments are carried out by cosmetic doctors, nurses or surgeon prescribers, who have undergone extensive training to qualify in prescribing and performing Ameela injections.

We do not provide treatments to anyone under 18 years old at The Private Clinic and we may ask for ID at the time of your appointment.

Ameela Treatment

Polynucleotides have the capability to stimulate the wound-healing process in our skin, facilitating the repair of any existing scar tissue.

Upon injection, Polynucleotides can initiate the activation of fibroblast cells, promoting the production of healthy collagen. This, in turn, enhances skin firmness and improves skin tone, all while protecting the skin from cellular and free radical damage.

You will quickly notice a positive and visible lift in skin structure, resulting in a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

After your Profhilo Treatment

The results are deep skin rejuvenation, where the skin appears hydrated and younger with a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. Skin tone will be improved along with better elasticity.

There is minimal downtime associated with Ameela. You may experience some redness or swelling post-treatment which should reduce after 48 hours.

In most cases, you will be able to return to work and everyday activities within 2-4 hours following treatment depending on the sensitivity of your skin.

Ameela treatments typically result in minimal downtime, ranging from 2 to 4 hours, contingent upon the sensitivity of your skin.

FAQs

What is Ameela?

Ameela, formerly known as Nucleadyn, represents the latest bio stimulator injectable treatment crafted to rejuvenate your skin. This potent formula efficiently renews skin firmness and elasticity, guarding against cellular damage and free radicals. Bid farewell to premature ageing and welcome healthy, revitalised skin.

How soon can I expect to notice the results of my Ameela treatment?

Certain individuals may observe initial signs of improvement within 7-10 days following their first treatment. The complete and optimal results become apparent after completing all 3 Ameela treatments.

The recommendation for three sessions is based on the observed reduction of 22.5% in wrinkles after this comprehensive treatment.

How long do Ameela results last?

The effects of Ameela can last for approximately 6-9 months. Following this period, we strongly advise scheduling a maintenance appointment to extend the longevity of your results.

How many sessions of Ameela treatments are recommended?

At The Private Clinic, depending on the patient and targeted areas of concern, we’d suggest undergoing 3 Ameela treatments spaced one month apart. This recommendation will vary per patient. Additionally, for optimal result maintenance, a top-up appointment every 9 months is recommended.

Does an Ameela treatment involve any downtime?

Ameela treatments typically entail minimal downtime.

Mild redness and swelling may last for 2 to 4 hours, depending on your skin’s sensitivity.

Is the Ameela treatment painful?

The Ameela injection will be administered with precision, prioritising comfort and aiming to minimise any potential pain or discomfort.

Additionally, our practitioners can apply a numbing cream for 10 minutes before the treatment to further enhance comfort and reduce any potential discomfort.

Who is Ameela most suitable for?

Ameela is appropriate for both men and women, particularly for individuals who:

  • Exhibit wrinkles and fine lines, especially those advanced in age
  • Show signs of premature ageing
  • Experience hyperpigmentation
  • Have highly dehydrated skin
  • Demonstrate skin laxity
I have a fish allergy; is it safe for me to undergo Ameela treatment?

If you have a fish allergy, Ameela may not be suitable for you. The treatment utilises animal-based polynucleotides derived from salmon, specifically from the sperm cells of salmon.

We advise all patients to attend a consultation first to find out more about the treatment and to discuss your suitability.

What are polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides function as biostimulators, kickstarting the skin’s regeneration process. Instead of merely hydrating the skin, they act as nourishment or medication for cells, promoting the more efficient production of collagen and elastin. Additionally, they enhance the extracellular matrix, the skin layer housing fibroblasts. Moreover, they also possess anti-inflammatory properties.

Does Ameela contain Hyaluronic Acid?

Ameela does not incorporate hyaluronic acid into its composition. Nevertheless, it stimulates your body’s natural production of hyaluronic acid and enhances the effectiveness of any externally administered hyaluronic acid by up to 40%.

What is the difference between Ameela and Profhilo?

They both share a similar function of improving the skin’s condition rather than adding volume, as dermal fillers do. However, they are distinct products. Ameela is a bio-stimulant gel comprising polynucleotides, while Profhilo is composed of a concentrated mixture of pure hyaluronic acid.

At The Private Clinic, we recommend Ameela for tightening saggy and dehydrated skin as it helps to improve microcirculation and increase collagen and elastin production in the skin. Profhilo in comparison is best used to help improve skin tone, texture, and elasticity.

Is Nucleadyn and Ameela the same?

In June 2023, the Polynucleotide distributor, Amedica announced the rebranding of its Nucleadyn injectable polymerised polynucleotide range to Ameela.

The only difference between Nucleadyn and Ameela is the name.

Nothing else about the treatment has changed, with all product formulations, indications, and the portfolio of case studies and clinical data staying the same.
